Upon the suggestion of a good friend of mine, I'm
going to start jotting down a little bit about these
pictures I draw. Also, since this is supposedly a comic
(although an admittedly jenky one), I guess I should maybe
add something a bit more comic-y. Like.. maybe two pictures
or something. I dunno yet. I'm working up to it.
So, about this picture.
It's a bat...
lol, Okay, I guess I'll try to write something about it. But
a problem occurs with that. I really don't know what I'm going
to draw until I've drawn it. Often if I try to draw something
specific it'll get all wonky, so I generally go with whatever
seems like is best. I'll have a certain creature in mind- bat,
cat, human, insect, snakey, or whatever, but aside from that...
not really.
So, here, I started with the eyes, then the nose and mouth. This
little bat was going to be decidedly happy. I drew in the ears
and the rest of his little bat head, then had to think about what
would make this particular creature happy. Looking at him, it
seemed to me like he should be in motion, so I went with some
flying wings. Looks to me like he's changing directions and
enjoying his time out n about.
Although... The background should maybe be black? Naw.
In other news! I went to go see the Vagina Monologues today.
Was pretty good.
It reminded me of high school days. *cue wavy back-in-time camera*
My grandmother was going to go see this same show. We had a
history of going to theater performances together, so I was already
expecting to have a ticket. Well, no. I was apparently too young,
she thought, as I was at the mere age of 14. Needless to say,
I lost that argument, and also, was pretty damn pissed about it.
So now, now that I'm in college, I finally saw it.
And also, she was probly right. ^^;
